The Egyptian forward was scantily-clad as he posed as Maui from the 2016 animated film Moana.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah swapped his football strip for a leafy skirt when he dressed up as a Disney character for his daughter’s birthday.

The Egyptian forward also wore a garland around his neck as he posed as Maui from the 2016 film Moana.

His five-year-old daughter Makka dressed up as the title character from the animated movie.



Salah, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in June, shared photos of the birthday celebration on Twitter.

He wrote: “I, Maui, bring to you Moana! Happy birthday my princess. #Birthday #AmazingFather.”

Salah’s teammate Gini Wijnaldum replied with prayer and heart emojis.

A Liverpool fan named Kerry replied: “She’s just the most adorable little girl”.

Maui, a Polynesian demigod in the Moana film, is voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The central character Moana is voiced by Auli’i Cravalho.

Salah attracted praise in August after posing with a boy who suffered a bloody nose in an effort to see his hero.
