Candace Owens has stepped forward and called out LA Lakers star LeBron James for his silence on the Sean “Diddy” Combs controversy. Owens asked LeBron to break his silence and use his platform to speak out on the matter that involved his friend, as the Lakers star is active in speaking on the issues related to Black injustice.
“Where are you, King?” Owens said. “I say to Black America all the time, bring me your kings and bring me your queens. These are the people you are supposed to follow, follow into the streets as you burn down your neighborhood.”
Owens discussed this subject on the 70th episode of her YouTube show “Candace.” The political commentator expressed her views concerning LeBron James’ social media activity. She showcased James’ tweets and posts in which the Lakers star spoke out on Black injustice issues like the George Floyd and Jacob Blake cases.
After that, Owens expressed her views on the friendship of the Lakers star and the now-arrested rapper. She showed a video where James can be seen FaceTiming Diddy and praising the parties he throws. She also presented a video of James vibing, dancing and enjoying himself at one of Diddy’s parties.
Lastly, Owens reveals her theory about James: She said that the Lakers star’s silence may be an indication that Diddy has something on him that he does not want the world to see.
LeBron James remains silent on the viral maid outfit picture sparking controversies after Diddy’s arrest
Ever since Sean Combs’ arrest on Sept. 16, the viral maid-outfit image of LeBron James has sparked even more controversies. The netizens online have been making fun of the Lakers star even though there has been no confirmation of the image’s authenticity. A fan posted the picture on X, formerly Twitter, with a caption featuring LeBron’s praise for Diddy’s parties:
“Ain’t no party like a Diddy party.”
On the other hand, analysts like Jason Whitlock have expressed their views on the image but have remained neutral on passing a conclusive judgment. LeBron James himself has not yet addressed anything related to the viral picture and has opted to maintain his silence.
James had a great run with the national team in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he bagged the gold medal with Team USA. He had a moderate season with the Lakers in 2023-24, with his team eliminated by the Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs.
James and the Lakers are set to return to action in late October when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves as their first opponents of the 2024-25 season.
